Yesterday evening a life long member and thread of the fabric of Glen Rock passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Mark MCCullough grew up in Glen Rock and raised his children, Roxy and Brian here along side his wife Suzanne. Mark, a graduate of GRHS 1972, had been diagnosed with ALS – bulbar onset last year. Even with this diagnosis, Mark’s spirit still shined through. He still reached out to people to help them with their projects whether it was running a campaign or loading up candy to donate to the soldiers.
Through the years Mark has contributed to the town through many channels.
- Council Member,
- Planning Board Vice Chairman
- Head of Glen Rock Democratic Club.
- GR Recreation Sports Coach / Manager
- GR Council representative to the GR/ FL Rte 208 Corridor
- Executive Director of Game On Glen Rock
After all that he gave to Glen Rock, he still continued to give to others. To help people learn more about ALS, he was participating in an ALS trial study through U. Penn. He also is donating his body to study the effects of ALS.
We will miss his humor, political debates and knowledge of Glen Rock history. Rest in Peace Mark. Thank you for all that you did for Glen Rock.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory:

** On a personal note, Mark helped me move back into Glen Rock. He did not know me from Adam but still showed up and unloaded my truck with his wife Suzanne and several others. Thank you for giving me such a warm welcome back.
