This year Bergen County’s Van Saun Park hosted its first annual Winter Wonderland celebration from November 25 – January 15, 2017. Attractions include:
- Open Air Ice Skating
- Kids’ Beginner Synthetic Rink
- Additional Kids’ Activities
- Bergen Express Train Ride
- Santa’s North Pole Workshop
- Unlimited Carousel Rides
- Zoo Entry and Programming
- Indoor/Outdoor Beer Garden
- Callahan’s Food Truck
- Waffle de Lys Food Truck
This year, Van Saun Park lined the entrance with 70 trees that represent the 70 municipalities of Bergen County.
In what we hope will be come annual holiday traditions, we are inviting you to decorate your municipal tree, which we will donate to your municipality at the close of Winter Wonderland’s first season.

Mayor Bruce Packer was at the Van Saun County Park Winter Wonderland event to decorate Glen Rocks tree. Mayor Packer told BTN that Glen Rock will be offered the tree after the County Winter Wonderland ends in mid January. Packer went on to say that he is not sure yet where the tree will be planted.
