It is Homecoming Night tonight in Glen Rock as the high school football Panthers take on North Arlington at Alan Deaett Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Glen Rock, 5-1, is coming off a thrilling overtime win over Hasbrouck Heights a week ago and looking to not only secure a spot in the state playoffs but possibly earn a home game. There is one game remaining in the regular season after tonight, away next week at Park Ridge. The top 16 teams in the section will make the playoffs.
North Arlington is 4-2 on the season and coming off a 42-13 loss to powerful Rutherford. The Vikings finished second in the NJIC Meadowlands Division, behind Hasbrouck Heights, and are currently ranked 11th in North Jersey Group 1. They are led by quarterback Devin Rivas, a 6-0, 205-pound senior who has passed for 1,084 yards and 12 touchdowns, according to nj.com, and also leads the team in rushing, with 431 yards and four touchdowns.
