On Wednesday, Feb 8th, Glen Rock Police and Fire responded to a smoke condition on a disabled NJ Transit train at the station at Borough Hall. NJ Transit safely evacuated the passengers and crew off the train.
The crossing remained closed until 6:33 pm when they could back the train from the crossing. While investigating the smoke, NJ Transit found smoking leaves and debris on the tracks. Per NJ Transit, there was no smoke on the train.
NJ Transit, Glen Rock Police, and GR Fire cleared the scene around 8 pm.
