With the retiring of Sandy Marinos, the GR Board of Education has created a new position for a Director of Security, per Superintendent Dr. Brett Charleston.
Glen Rock Public Schools created a new position, Director of Security. Rob Mc Corry was appointed by the Glen Rock Board of Education as Director of Security beginning January 1, 2020. School safety is an ongoing conversation, and this new position will be evolving over time.
Mc Corry will oversee the security of all Glen Rock Public Schools. With Mc Corry’s experience, the district will continue to work on ensuring the safety of students and staff. Collaborating with school administration, Mc Corry will be an essential part of developing security plans and training, as well as carrying out safety assessments and reviews. “Safety is our number one concern. Rob Mc Corry is from Pequannock Township and resides with his wife and two children. He was a Pequannock Township police officer from 1999 to 2019 when he retired.
Mc Corry also worked part-time at an executive protection agency for fourteen years.
Mc Corry’s background and training are a match for this newly created position.
