During the period between July 3, 2023, through July 17, 2023, members of the GRPD\u00a0handled 547 calls for service, the highlights of which included:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

07-04-2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3:41 PM \u2013 A Glen Rock resident reported that a purchase of Apple air pods, watches and an iPad had been charged to their AT&T account at an AT&T Store in Manahawkin.  The resident immediately notified AT&T of the fraudulent purchase.  The matter was referred to the Detective Bureau which is working with AT&T security in an effort to identify the actor.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

07-05-2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5:03 PM \u2013 Lt. Chris Mc Inerney, P.O. Matt Stanislao, P.O. Sam Evans, and P.O. Nick Onove came to the aid of a suicidal male subject in front of the Municipal Building.  The subject, a 38-year-old Teaneck man, stated that he had not taken his medication in several days and wanted to jump in front of a train.  Officers were able to calm the man who agreed to seek psychiatric assistance and was transported by ambulance to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

07-07-2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

9:47 PM \u2013 Glen Rock and Hawthorne Officers came across a highly intoxicated individual on the sidewalk along Lincoln Avenue near Mortlock Place.  The subject, an 18-year-old Hawthorne male, had been drinking with friends at the Jersey Shore and became ill on the return trip home.  A 17-year-old Hawthorne male was attempting to provide aid and sought assistance from police.   The subject, who was unable to stand or walk, was transported by ambulance to the Valley Hospital ER in Ridgewood.  His family was notified. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

07-09-2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

8:12 AM \u2013 Information was received from the Nutley Police Department concerning a vehicle, registered to a Glen Rock resident, involved in suspicious activity in their jurisdiction.\u00a0 Nutley Officers requested that Glen Rock patrols interview the resident concerning the whereabouts of their vehicle.\u00a0 When officers arrived at the Ferndale Avenue home the residents were unaware that their vehicle, a 2021 Audi Q5, was missing from the driveway.\u00a0 Video surveillance from the home showed that two unknown individuals in dark clothing had entered the vehicle and drove off with it at 5:13 AM.\u00a0 The investigation determined that a family member had mistakenly left the vehicle unlocked with the key fob in it.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resident\u2019s video surveillance images have been forwarded to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7-14-2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10:35 AM \u2013 A resident of Ackerman Ave reported that someone attempted to enter her vehicle.   The resident reported that she observed a male wearing a black ski mask approach her car and attempt to open the car door.  She confronted the male who then fled to a waiting vehicle.   The vehicle took off south on Ackerman Ave towards the Fair Lawn border.  Officers checked the area for the suspect vehicle with negative results. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
