GLEN ROCK, N.J., The woods of Glen Rock’s Thielke Arboretum will be alive with
fairytale characters for the third annual Arts Council of Glen Rock and Porch Light Productions Enchanted
theater-in-the-woods experience for young children. This fan favorite event features Porch Light’s
award-winning Youth Performance Troupe on Saturday, October 19 (rain date, Sun., October 20). The
small group tours will run between 1 and 3 p.m.
This year, Enchanted’s “The Great Woodland Games,” theme features even more audience participation
as fairytale characters team up to compete for the ultimate prize — “Happily Ever After.” The playful
fairytale challenges unfold over 30 minutes as costumed guides continuously weave groups of children
and their adult chaperones through the Arboretum. Tours pause to witness and join in on mini scenes
bursting with fun, wonder, and the thrill of competition as beloved characters face off. Visitors end the
journey inside the Thielke Education Center with a craft activity.
Arts Council of Glen Rock’s Enchanted co-chairs Karol Rubio and Denise Colaitis with Porch Light’s
artistic director and founder Ryan Pifher bring this immersive, family-friendly theater production in the
Arboretum to the Glen Rock community. Enchanted supports local theater and developing actors and
offers young children a magical and memorable experience.
Early access to discounted tickets will be previewed in a dedicated email to Arts Council members and
Porch Light “friends and family” and offered for sale starting September 13. Tickets will be available to the
general public for purchase starting September 23 at https://artscouncilgr.ticketspice.com/enchanted.
