For nearly 13 years, I have had the pleasure of participating in the wonderful programs available to residents of the Glen Rock community. I’ve particularly enjoyed those events that I could attend accompanied by my husband and two children.
Not only have I participated, but I have stepped up to lead some great organizations and events in town. I presided as President of the Glen Rock Newcomers & Neighbors. I served as class parent; I’ve served as chairperson for the Central School bi-annual auction and I’ve spearheaded the Central School Haunted House; I have had the privilege to serve as a religious education catechist for St. Catharine’s; I have and continue to volunteer as a Girl Scout troop leader, And most recently, I serve as Director of Program Development for the Glen Rock Junior Football Association.
Looking at all the ways I have already served this community, running for town council seems like a natural transition. I am well prepared for the position holding a Bachelor degree in Political Science and a Master degree in Public Administration. I have worked in the public sector of corporate retail as a merchandise planner managing accounts in excess of $120 million. I’ve also spent time in the not-for-profit world researching grants for the Museum of Natural History in NYC and RiverHaven teen outreach program in Poughkeepsie, NY.
I currently balance a full-time home life while working part-time as a sales associate. I know what it means to be focused and multi-task. I believe in honesty and transparency and have my finger on the pulse of this town. I have certainly engaged in much it has to offer. I have seen it change over time but believe we can build it even better – if – we all work together.
As the next borough council person, I will be a go-getter, an unstoppable entity — driven & energetic believing in issues that resonate with residents. I have walked in their shoes & knocked on their doors. My grassroots campaign started from the ground up engaging with every sector of the Glen Rock community building off of long-standing relationships I’ve established over the last decade.
I have a reputation for listening and getting the job done with incredible results. I am highly capable and motivated to fix issues in our local government. We are in desperate need of diversity in ideology here in Glen Rock. I will dive right into the issues and be a voice for all residents especially those who have had no voice or have been gravely underrepresented.
I’m ready to partner with our small businesses, focus on our seniors, our youth and our families. I bring a new face to Glen Rock politics with fresh out-of-the-box ideas and unprecedented enthusiasm.
I truly believe Glen Rock is an amazing town in which to live. It is comprised of wonderful, kind, caring and talented individuals. Together we make a great town that generation after generation choose to call home. It is my desire to continue the traditions of this town while embracing the best our people have to offer and help fix those things that need some tweaking.
I will bring a fresh new perspective and a commitment to challenge the status quo. I ask that you place your faith in me, along with my running mate William J. Leonard, and let us bring a much needed balance and diversified voice to our council.
