Glen Rock Police Blotter Oct 4, 2021 – Oct 10, 2021
1:33 PM – The manager of CVS, located at 175 Rock Rd, reported shoplifting that had just occurred. PO Graziani located the suspect, a 57-year-old Paterson, NJ man on Rock Rd who was positively identified as the actor. The man had attempted to flee the store with $761.26 worth of merchandise that he did not pay for. The actor was processed at Police HQ and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail while awaiting a detention hearing. The stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the custody of CVS.
5:56 PM – Patrol units responded to Route 208 south for a report of a motor vehicle accident. The accident involved three vehicles and during the crash, one of the vehicles rolled over onto its roof. Two of the occupants reported non-life-threatening injuries. The Glen Rock Fire Department also responded to the scene to assist with the crash.
12:20 PM – While on patrol, Sgt. Trover observed graffiti writings on the wall of the Maple Ave underpass. The DPW was notified to remove the writings and the detective bureau was advised for further investigation.
12:59 PM – Patrol responded to a Broad Street business for a report of criminal mischief. The business owner stated that an unknown actor had spray-painted graffiti writings on the rear of their building as well as on their dumpster. The detective bureau was advised of the incident for further investigation.
