Glen Rock Community School announces that registration will open Monday, December 16th for winter & spring student enrichment, sports, adult classes, Broadway show tickets, and trips. The Glen Rock Community School issues a brochure semiannually and attracts clients from Glen Rock and surrounding towns to attend educational, cultural and recreational activities.
Student enrichment is placed throughout the six Glen Rock public schools and includes such afterschool activities as junior woodworking, chess, karate, makerspace and more. This winter, new enrichment classes are being added to the offering, and such classes are Harry Potter book club, a new cooking class, and STEM Mythbusters.
Adults can sign up for classes in such special interests as gardening, drawing, language, and cooking. A new addition to the offering is Mahjong. Attend the Philadelphia Flower Show, Strawberry Festival or visit the Empire State Building. These are just a few of the local trips offered. Yet there is more, as the Glen Rock Community School embraces traveling and is also offering trips abroad to Ireland, Germany, France, and other destinations. There are additional opportunities to travel within the United States to such places as South Dakota, Chicago, Nashville, and California, just to name a few. Travel to various locations by plane, bus, train, and boat.
“Our winter brochure is full of opportunities for individuals and families. We offer a wide variety of activities for various interests,” said Allison De Meulder, Director of Glen Rock Community School.
