The Friends of the Glen Rock Library is now accepting books and media for the Great
Book Sale 2019. All items must be “gently used,” preferably in good condition. The Friends
accepts books and media for all age groups, fiction and non-fiction. It accepts items published in
many formats, but it cannot accept the following: textbooks and workbooks, journals and
magazines; maps and guidebooks; 3-ring-or spiral-bound manuals, and VHS tapes. In non-
fiction, we cannot accept the following subjects: holiday; outdated business and political topics;
inspirational topics; parenting and self-help. To receive a detailed list of acceptable and non-
acceptable items, please email the Friends at: [email protected] or visit the Friends
page of the Glen Rock Library website.
Collecting runs from February 2 through March 6 at the following times only: on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Sundays from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Please securely box or bag your items and place them on the designated carts inside the back entrance of the Library. Do not leave items outside or on the floor.
The Great Book Sale is scheduled for March 14 to 17. Income from the sale benefits the Summer Reading Program, the many presentations and classes held at the Library, and the Free-Passes to Museums Program.
