Glen Rock Police Blotter June 18 – 24, 2018
3:54 PM – A resident on the 200 block of Dunham Place reported the theft of approximately $ 6,000 worth of jewelry from their home. Detectives are currently investigating a possible suspect.
Following the last day of school Glen Rock’s Crossing Guards were honored at a Luncheon courtesy of Victor Quinn at the Glen Rock Inn. Adult school crossing guards, first established in Glen Rock during the early 1950’s, play an important role in the lives of our school children. They help them safely cross the street at key locations.
6:35 PM – A motorcycle sped through the crosswalk along Maple Avenue in front of Wilde Park where a Crossing Guard was stationed for the Family Fun Fair. Officers stationed at the Fair notified officers on patrol who apprehended the motorcyclist at Maple Avenue and Ackerman Avenue. The operator, a 19-year-old Clifton man was issued summonses by Sgt. Bryan Scott for careless driving, failure to yield to pedestrians, driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance, failure to possess vehicle registration and driver’s license.
9:18 PM – A Berkeley Place resident reported that a flag and its wooden pole was taken from the front of their home. It is unknown when the theft occurred and nothing else was taken or tampered with.
