Members of the Glen Rock Police Department will once again be wearing PINK hats during the month of October to support breast cancer awareness. In addition to the pink hat campaign, Chief Ackermann will be permitting officers to grow facial hair for the month of November 2017.
The Glen Rock PBA and Police Department raised $1,000 in 2016 during NO SHAVE NOVEMBER and are hoping to surpass that goal for 2017. Every dollar raised helps our efforts in supporting cancer research and education. All sworn members are encouraged to contribute $50 for the month of November in order to participate. This campaign, sponsored by Glen Rock PBA – Local # 110 is devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of early detection.
