On September 17th, Borough Council President Amy Martin and Council Candidate Dr. Arati Kreibich welcomed over 50 Glen Rock seniors to a breakfast hosted at Rock Kitchen in downtown Glen Rock. The breakfast was held to introduce the town’s senior population to Dr. Kreibich, and to ensure that their voices are heard as the two candidates for Glen Rock Borough Council form their plan of action for the town to continue moving forward.
“It was so important that we speak with our seniors one on one to really understand their needs,” Dr. Kreibich said after the breakfast. “The biggest takeaway for me was that there are so many seniors who are ready and willing to help our town, and they have some great ideas!”
Martin was appointed to the Senior Citizens Advisory Council shortly after her election, and knows from experience what an important part of the Glen Rock community the senior population is. Both Martin and Kreibich are excited to include the seniors in their campaign and look forward to serving the senior community when they are elected.
“Thank you to all of the seniors who came and had breakfast with us this Sunday,” said Martin. “I am inspired listening to your intelligent and informed comments and suggestions, and look forward to a continued dialogue to make Glen Rock the best it can be for you and all who call it home.”
