 09-12-2017

9:34 AM –  During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North, P.O. Nick Onove arrested a 22-year-old Paterson man who was wanted by the Paterson Police Department for assaulting a police officer.  The man was detained at Glen Rock PD HQ until officers from the Paterson Police Department could respond to take him into custody.  The man was also issued traffic summonses for driving while suspended and failure to produce a vehicle registration.

2:39 PM –  Assisted by detectives from the Fair Lawn Police Department, P.O. Scott Mc Govern arrested a 54-year-old Paterson man for Burglary and Theft.  The man had entered a garage along Radburn Road, near the Fair Lawn border, and stole a bicycle valued at $500.  Additional charges were filed against the man by Fair Lawn Police following a foot chase which took place in Fair Lawn.  The man was subsequently remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending an appearance in Superior Court Central Judicial Processing.

6:28 PM –  A vehicle parked in front of 62 Radburn Road was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene.  The owner reported that this occurred at an unknown time between 7 AM and 6 PM.  Anyone who may have witnessed this accident and can provide a description of the vehicle is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.

7:39 PM – The manager of Bottle King Liquors on Prospect Street reported that an individual attempted to purchase alcohol using a fraudulent identification.  Det. Jim Calaski subsequently identified the actor as a 15-year-old Midland Park female.  With the cooperation of her parents the matter was referred to the juvenile officer for informal handling.

8:06 AM –  The Passaic County Sheriff’s Department detained a 21-year-old Bloomingdale man wanted by the Glen Rock Municipal Court on an outstanding criminal warrant. Unable to post $ 664 bail, the man was taken into custody by Det. Jim Calaski and P.O. Murray Yang who transported him to the Bergen County Jail.

1:24 PM –  A vehicle parked in front in the Central Business District in area of 210 Rock Road was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene.  Video surveillance from a nearby business obtained images of what appears to be a silver Honda Odyssey fleeing the area.  However, the license plate was unreadable.  Anyone who may have witnessed this accident and can provide the license plate number of the vehicle is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.

6:24 PM –  A vehicle stopped in traffic on Lincoln Avenue, waiting to make a turn onto Warburton Avenue was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle which left the scene.  The driver was unable to provide any information concerning the hit and run vehicle.  Anyone who may have witnessed this accident and can provide a description of the vehicle is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.
