The members of the Glen Rock Police Department, on this 16th anniversary of the September 11th tragedy, remember and reflect on those lost and the families left behind. We honor the value of life, our country’s resilience and the strength of the American spirit.

09-05-2017

12:45 PM – Patrols responded to 9-1-1 reports of a fight or disturbance in the street along Boulevard near Eton Place. Investigating officers located two Paterson residents both male, ages 18 and 19 as well as a 17-year-old female from Haledon, who denied any altercation had taken place. Allegedly they were just having a loud conversation. All three were transported to the family members’ homes in Paterson.

1:42 PM – The Morris County Sheriff’s Department detained a 27-year-old Matamoras, PA man who was wanted by the Glen Rock Municipal Court on an active criminal warrant. The man, who was unable to post $ 1,500 bail, was subsequently taken into custody by Det. Jim Calaski and Det. Mike Trover who transported him to the Bergen County Jail.

12:30 PM – The Passaic County Sheriff’s Department detained a 26-year-old Paterson woman, formerly of Glen Rock who was wanted by the Glen Rock Municipal Court on a traffic warrant. The woman, who was unable to post $ 150 bail, was subsequently taken into custody by Sgt. Rob Wojtecki and P.O. Nick Onove who transported her to the Bergen County Jail.

09-08-2017

6:39 PM – Patrols responded to a multi vehicle accident in the parking lot of a strip mall along Prospect Street. Investigation, which included video surveillance footage, found that a vehicle driven in a careless manner on Prospect Street left the roadway, drove on a sidewalk, entered the parking lot of the mall and struck three parked cars. The driver, a 46-year-old Glen Rock woman, was determined to be under the influence of suspected narcotics and was arrested for driving while under the influence. She was transported to Valley Hospital for treatment where blood samples were drawn for toxicology testing by the State Police Lab. Additional motor vehicle summonses were issued for driving with a suspended license, careless driving, driving on a sidewalk, failure to keep right, failure to signal and no proof of insurance.

09-08-2017

8:05 PM – An electric ATV, valued at approximately $500, was reported missing from next to a garage on Belvidere Road. It was recovered the next morning in Wilde Park. There are no known witnesses or suspects.
