At 9:19 AM this morning, an operator at the Northwest Bergen Central Dispatch received a suspicious phone call on the non-emergency Glen Rock Police phone line. The caller eluded to a possible threat against a school building or active public facility. The threat was not specific in nature and credibility could not be determined. The origin of the call could not be immediately identified.
Out of an abundance of caution, a thorough check was conducted of all public and private schools in Glen Rock as well as all other municipal facilities. No hazard of any nature was detected, the origin of the call is currently under investigation by Det. James Calaski.
Additional assistance during this investigation was provided by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit, Ridgewood Police and the buildings and grounds staff of the Glen Rock Public School.
