Tedd J. Kochman, a resident of Glen Rock since 1999, is a shareholder in the Newark office of Littler Mendelson, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management. Tedd’s reputation and work achievements continue to be recognized for his consistent accomplishments and success by a number of esteemed legal outlets. Last month, Tedd was named to the prestigious Chambers USA’s “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.” He has been recognized by Chambers USA for many Years, and included among The Best Lawyers in America © and New Jersey Super Lawyers lists. Tedd is also a past and multiple winner of the Labor Relations Institute’s Top 100 Labor Lawyers in America recognition and both New Jersey Law Journal’s and NJBiz’s “40 Under 40” Awards.
The prestigious Chambers USA: “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business” again placed Tedd on its highly ranked attorney list. In addition, again Tedd was named by the 2017 Best Lawyers Publication, one of the longest-running and most respected peer-review publications in the legal industry, as an outstanding attorney in two categories: Employment Law – Management and Labor Law – Management.
Tedd’s practice spans a range of labor and employment law matters, representing and advising companies large and small on labor management and employment matters. Tedd also gives back to the community by sitting on a number of area charitable Boards. He is board member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association – New Jersey Chapter (and also Chairman of the Open Your Heart Fundraising Committee). Through Tedd’s involvement, the AHA/ASA’s June “Affair of the Heart Gala” just raised over $500,000 for research towards this important cause.
Tedd earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was on the American Criminal Law Review and received his B.A. from Emory University, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. He is married to Randi Kochman, who is also a practicing attorney, and they have three sons, Justin, Adam, and Noah.
