For the second time less than 12 hours, Glen Rock FD responded to a house fire at 289 Rock Road, Glen Rock. The fire this time appeared to have been contained to a laundry basket.
A Glen Rock PD officer had removed the burning laundry basket from the home prior to the arrival of FD personnel.
Firefighters from Ridgewood and Hawthorne assisted Glen Rock FD personnel at the scene. No injuries were reported; Rock Road was again closed between South Maple Avenue and Harding Plaza while emergency crews worked.
