The Addams Family…..
The Addams Family Musical is today at 1p and Tonight at 7p in the Glen Rock High School Auditorium.
Last night BTN saw the Opening performance of the Addams Family. The cast is full of several seniors that have embraced their love of theater as well as several underclassman that are on the rise to take over the theatre next year. The main characters are Gomez Addams Played by: Matthew Alport
Morticia Addams played by: Tina Rivara.
Wednesday Addams: Caitlin Rundle.
Lucas: Luke Blomstrom
Mal: Matthew Lacognata
Pugsley: Jeremy Stewart
Grandma: Kate Trahan
Fester: Nick McRae
Lurch/ Death Richard Beezley.
Even as the curtain opened, the energy of the cast and crew drew you in to the story line and made you want to know more. As the scenes continued, the cast and crew made you “laugh so hard that tears were in your eyes”, Rick Van Rumpt. There are great underlining jokes that the adult audience members will get, but so funny the kids laughed their heads off. This was truly an outstanding performance by a talented group of kids. If you go tonight, be prepared to laugh and be a bit scared, but not too much.
In addition, there is an awesome fundraiser at the show to benefit both the musical and future musicals.
The following Glen Rock merchants donated products or services that will be raffles off or sold at the Addams family show. The basket is worth over $500. Raffles will be $5 a piece or 3 for $10. Marc’s Cheesecake, Merves, John boys, Francesca’s, 4u-nails, Carrick Mor, Rocca, Rock Kitchen, Painting with a Twist, Mathnasium and Mail and More.
