The Glen Rock High School ice hockey team continued its dream season with another big week, highlighted by an impressive performance in a 3-3 tie Wednesday at South Mountain Arena in West Orange against Seton Hall Prep, the No. 6-ranked team in the state according to nj.com.
Glen Rock (No. 9 in the nj.com rankings) outshot Seton Hall 32-24 in the game and took the lead three times, with goals by Derek Kelly, Mike Maselli and Jared Brassil. Goaltender Ryan McAuley also came up with some big saves late in the third period to preserve the result, which left the Panthers with a 15-3-3 record.
Glen Rock returns to action Friday at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice House in Hackensack, when they face West Milford. It is the last game before the seedings come out for the league and state sectional playoffs.
