Glen Rock Police Blotter
During the period between January 9TH 2017 and January 15th 2017 members of the GRPD handled 207 calls for service, the highlights of which included:
01-09-2017
1:17 PM – During the course of investigating a motor vehicle accident on Maple Avenue and Rodney Street, P.O. James Donnelly arrested a 48-year-old Glen Rock woman for DWI. Her damaged vehicle was impounded in accordance with John’s Law and the driver was transported to Police HQ where she was processed and subsequently released to a sober family member. She was also issued summonses for careless driving and being an unlicensed driver.
01-09-2017
9:14 PM – Patrols assisted Ridgewood Police in attempting to locate two juvenile females, ages 10 and 12, who had run away from a group home in Ridgewood. Both girls were subsequently located on Bergen Street and turned over to custody of the Ridgewood Police.

6:15 PM – Patrols again assisted Ridgewood police in attempting to locate two juvenile females who ran away from a group home in Ridgewood. The girls were located on Rock Road and Forest Road and turned over to the custody of Ridgewood Police.
01-11-2017
1:16 PM – The representative of a Valley Cottage NY moving and storage company reported that a Boulevard resident had hired the company to remove and store the contents of their home. The service was provided in September of 2016 and a bill of $12,070.61 remains unpaid. The complainant was referred to the Glen Rock Municipal Court to sign complaints.
01-12-2017
6:19 PM – A 66-year-old Glen Rock man reported that his bicycle was taken while he was inside a business in the Central Business District. The bike was not secured and there are no known witnesses.
01-13-2017
3:30 AM – Patrols responded to a 9-1-1 call from a Highwood Avenue resident reporting a burglary to their home was in progress. Officers subsequently took into custody a highly intoxicated Upper Saddle River man. Investigation determined that the man was the guest of a neighbor and was mistakenly attempted to enter the wrong house. The resident did not wish to further pursue the matter and stated that he would resolve the issue of any damages with his neighbor and their guest.
01-12-2017
2:26 PM – P.O. Sam Evans, along with his training officer P.O. Bob Surdyka, stopped a motor vehicle for tailgating another motorist on Route 208 north. The driver, a 32-year-old New Paltz NY man, was subsequently arrested for possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed at Police HQ and released ROR pending an appearance in Glen Rock Municipal Court on January 31st. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for tailgating and possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle.
