Update on the Theilke Arboretum, from the Borough of Glen Rocks website:
On or about November 11th, per New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection – Green Acres guidelines, a sign will be display at the Thielke Arboretum stating:
“TAKE NOTICE that the Borough of Glen Rock is proposing to change the purpose or use of one quarter acre of the total 11.33 acres of Thielke Arboretum from open space to the construction of an Environmental Education/Visitor’s Center at 460 Doremus Ave., Glen Rock, NJ. To construct a single story structure & walking areas on the northeast portion of the Arboretum Grounds for an Environmental Education/Visitor’s Center.
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.6(a) 1, a hearing to obtain public comment on this proposed change of purpose or use will be held at the Glen Rock Municipal Building Council Chambers, 1 Harding Plaza, Glen Rock, NJ on December 14, 2016 at 8:00 p.m.
All information regarding the proposed change in purpose or use is available for public inspection at the Glen Rock Municipal Building Clerk’s Office, 1 Harding Plaza, Glen Rock, NJ. Public comment on this proposed change in purpose or use will be accepted during the public hearing or until December 28, 2016. On or after March 15, 2017 the Borough of Glen Rock may take formal action to approve the proposed change in purpose or use.”
