The 4th of July parade was a complete success this year, even though there were some slight hiccups. It seems to be hiccups are normal for this parade.
What a wonderful POPs concert at the Borough Hall on July 3rd, where the weather was perfect, lots of residents enjoying the sounds of Star Wars, Sinatra, and patriotic songs. The concert was lead by the POPs’ guest conductor Chris DeWilde.
In the middle of the POP’s concert, Mayor Bruce Packer and Councilwoman Mary Jane Surrago took time to honor Former Mayor John van Keuren by dedicating the circle in front of Borough Hall to him and all of his years of dedication and service to the town.
After that, Mayor Bruce Packer and the Independence Day Association (IDA) drew the annual Independence day raffle winners.
