At an additional meeting of the Glen Rock Board of Education on Nov. 10, Eileen Hillock was appointed by unanimous vote to replace Robin Rubinstein. The decision was made following a 90-minute group interview of the six residents who had applied for the position and a 60-minute deliberation period by the board.
Rubinstein resigned from the board at the Oct. 5 general meeting due to health reasons.
State regulations required that the BOE appoint a trustee to replace Rubinstein. Hillock will serve until the BOE reorganization meeting in January of 2017, unless she chooses to run for either what would then be a one-year unexpired term or a full three-year term.
